Expertise

I am an expert in biocomposites with a Ph.D. from the University of Greater Manchester, UK, specialising in natural fibre–based composites for next generation aerospace and automotive applications. My doctoral work produced novel biocomposites and eight research publications along with a review article—one of the strongest recent publication records in the university. Furthermore, I participated several conferences in the UK and overseas to present my research works. I have also taught as a Mechanical Engineering Lecturer. I received multiple honours for my contributions, including awards from Physicist Particle, Shen Awards and Applied Scientist. On top of that, recently, I have started working as an academic board member of journals: Global Open Share Publishing, Green Technologies and Sustainability, Cleaner and Circular Bioeconomy, Next Materials, Next Sustainability, Processes and Total Environment Microbiology.

Alongside my doctorate, I hold an Aerospace Engineering Honours (BEng) degree from the University of Hertfordshire, UK, and have over nine years of experience in aeronautical education. I currently work as an Engineering Lecturer at Blackpool & the Fylde College, designing teaching materials, assignments as well as exams and carrying our research works for students and apprentices in line with Lancaster University and stakeholders’ requirements. I have been recognised as one of the top engineering lecturers and recently appointed as a Standard Verifier (SV) and International Standard Verifier (ISV) for BTEC Pearson, UK.

Previously, I taught Level 2 and Level 3 Aeronautical Engineering at Preston College across BTEC Pearson, City & Guilds and EAL programs. My adaptive teaching methods significantly improved student performance and subject comprehension. I was selected as one of the impactful engineering lecturers for my remarkable contribution in preparing learners for the future.

At Cambrian International College of Aviation, I held dual roles as Lecturer and Internal Quality Assurance (IQA) Nominee. I taught and assessed students at National Diploma (Level 3) and Higher National (Level 5) levels, led BTEC Pearson curriculum development, and ensured staff met awarding body’s standards through training and standardization. One of my students received the BTEC Engineering Learner of the Year 2021 Bronze Award, and I was honored as Best Lecturer in 2022.

Earlier, at the United College of Aviation, Science & Management, I taught BTEC Pearson courses and contributed to research in material engineering and structural mechanics.

Overall, I am a dedicated team player with strong communication and organizational skills, consistently performing well under pressure and meeting deadlines. I bring added value to every role I undertake, and my research in sustainable materials reflects my commitment to driving innovation in sustainable engineering.
