Expertise
My research subjects include the role and value of sport, physical activity and well-being in driving transformational change, leadership & management, organisational culture, and behaviour change, framed through lenses such as intersectionality and complex systems thinking. My research interests engage with global HE policy & practice to understand how the holistic benefits of movement influence the conditions for innovation, enterprise & community partnerships drive inclusive, sustainable change across educational, citizen & neighbourhood settings. My research philosophy is broadly centred on social constructivist ontology and epistempology - involving qualitative research methods, or mixed approaches to study social phenomena and triangulation of the relationship between 'Active Campus' communities, education ecosystems and transformational social outcomes and impact.
