My research focuses on advancing the fields of Artificial Intelligence (AI), Machine Learning (ML), and the Internet of Things (IoT). As the Head of the Centre of Intelligence of Things at the University of Bolton, I lead initiatives that integrate AI and IoT into practical applications, particularly in wireless sensor networks and Internet of Things. My work has gained international recognition, including a prestigious acknowledgment from the Royal Academy of Engineering. and has been featured in Elsevier's World's Top 2% Influential Scientists list for four consecutive years. My research spans across 13 of the 17 UN SDGs, with 92.6% of my work internationally co-authored, and 60.7% of my publications ranking among the top 25% most-cited globally. With over 25 years of technical expertise, I have developed innovative procedures and systems for electronics and communication technologies, contributing significantly to both academic research and industry standards.
