Abstract

This report discusses the findings from a study to explore the health and wellbeing needs of women who attend Changing Life Directions in Bolton. A background section briefly contextualises the health and cultural dimensions of women attending Changing Life Directions, and then the method of the study is outlined. Although a significant proportion of women did not report any problems with their health and wellbeing, a key finding includes the diverse health and wellbeing of women and resulting support needs which were not already being met. As a result, the supportive and signposting role of Changing Life Directions is important to ensure all of the women accessing the organisation have their health and wellbeing needs met, they feel listened to, and are able to access suitable supported when needed.
