Abstract

Nietzsche Aesthetics
There is a rich seam of material thinking in Nietzsche's notes on the " physiology of art " that has received little critical attention. This paper shows how this material thinking offers a force of resistance to the values of contemporary nihilism. With a prescience that is disarming, Nietzsche's voice speaks from a nineteenth-century world: " What I relate is the history of the next two centuries.
