Introduction: Recent studies have proved the association of inflammation with major cardiovascular events (MACE) including myocardial infarction (MI) and revascularization. Microwave radiometry (MWR) allows the indirect noninvasive assessment of carotid artery inflammation, through evaluation of their temperatures.
