Abstract
Examples of fibre-identity polygons are given that enable the principal properties to be perceived at a glance. Product-identity profiles may be constructed in such a way that they may be compared with fibre-identity polygons. Fibre selection may be facilitated by overlaying the respective polygons. This concept may be used as an aid to fabric engineering and to developing realistic quality specifications.
