Abstract
This chapter explores how to address inclusion gaps within higher education using Artificial Intelligence (AI). We argue that management education is critical to achieving the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) 4 (promoting inclusive and equitable quality education) and SDG 10 (reducing inequalities within and among countries). However, we posit that this depends on the agency of higher education staff to deploy management knowledge and AI to overcome occupational limitations towards inclusive practices. We discuss essential features of this agency and propose a conceptual framework for an inclusion-oriented and AI-enabled agency towards sustainability – we call it PACED-for-Inclusion (Productivity, Agility, Creativity, Efficiency and Dependability). This framework will enable the higher education sector to provide equitable opportunities for diverse student groups, allowing them to enjoy a rich learning experience throughout their studies, achieve strong degree outcomes upon completion, and enhance their employability prospects after graduation.
